Carlos Marmol (born October 14, 1982 in Bonao, Dominican Republic) is a current pitcher in Major League Baseball who plays for the Chicago Cubs.

Carlos made his major league debut on June 4, 2006 against the St. Louis Cardinals in a relief appearance. He pitched two scoreless innings and gave up only one hit while striking out three redbird hitters. He made his second appearance of his career against the Houston Astros where he again pitched two innings and struck out three batters.

After cubs pitcher Kerry Wood was placed on the DL for the second time of the season Marmol was called on to make a spot start due to his efforts against the Cardinals and Astros. He joined Rich Hill, Ángel Guzmán, Sean Marshall, and Jae Kuk Ryu as one of the five cubs rookies to make a start for the 2006 Chicago Cubs campaign. On June 11 against the Cincinnati Reds, he had an excellent outing in his first Major League start. He allowed just one run on two hits, struck out seven and walked three in an eventual 9-3 Cubs victory. As of August 1, 2006, Marmol has a 4-4 record with a 4.39 ERA in 11 games (9 starts), covering 53 1/3 innings pitched. He has struck out 46 batters and walked 40.
